McCain's Concession Speech (and how it relates to our group project)

Since we are presenting our presentation in a satirical/humorous form, I do not feel that a lot of McCain's actual speech will apply to our project since the tone he used in his is more serious.

In his concession speech, McCain shows respect to Obama by quieting the "booing" from the crowd whenever Obama's name is brought up in the introduction. I think we could probably use this if we do it in a satirical way.

While McCain commends Obama's hardwork and acheivement, he also says, "I don't know what more we could have done to try to win the election." I think we could allude to this statement in our project and make fun of it in a way.

He also assures the audience that the failure is not theirs, it is his. I think that we could play on this statement and make it funny.

Ashley,

I like your ideas about incorporating some of McCain's speech into our speech for Palin. We can exaggerate almost every aspect of McCain's speech when writing ours. Also, we can disagree with some of McCain's comments to make Palin look extremely sarcastic or just plain out of touch. Either way, McCain's speech will help us with Palin's.
